New Tobacco Laws - Product Feature
Gazebo

New tobacco laws passed by the BC Legislature in 2007 were introduced March 31, 2008. These new laws were introduced to protect employees and the public from the harmful effects of secondhand smoke.

As of March 31, 2008, it is against the law to:

  • smoke in most fully or substantially enclosed public places and workplaces.
  • smoke within 3 metres of most public and workplace doorways and by open windows and air intakes.
Pagoda
So why is this information on the website of a Lumber Yard?

Well, we're seeing an increasing amount of businesses - looking for a solution to providing a protected, designated area for employees who smoke - come to us for an affordable and decorative solution.

Our Cedar Gazebos and Pagodas are ideally suited for this purpose, and meet the requirements of being a non-substantially covered enclosure.

Click here for more details and pricing, or call our sales team - who will be more than happy to assist you.
